MAC Glamour Daze Holiday Collection 2012

Hi! It's been awhile since I've updated my blog. I wanted to share what I've purchased at the Glamour Daze event MAC hosted and invited my friend Stephanie & I. It was a fun experience to actually get pampered and see how the new products worked and looked like on the face! I wish MAC would do this often :)

Overall, this collection had the cutest brush sets and eyeshadow sets. However, the pigmentation or color selections did not impress me. They had also re-promoted the Extra Dimension collection on the Mineral Skin Finish Highlighters and eyeshadows, but in different color variations! I am super impressed by the pigmentation and I am probably going to purchase even more, as guilty as I am already.

This is STOLEN MOMENT. I love this eyeshadow and I was super encouraged to get it because of Stephanie. It reminds me 'Satin Taupe' from the permanent eyeshadow line, however Satin Taupe has a cooler side while this one has a warmer undertone. Cooler eyeshadows tend to make my eyes appear smaller, so I always reach for warm eyeshadows as much as possible. I suggest to get this color if you don't have Satin Taupe, it is amazing for a sultry eyelid!

This is called ROUND MIDNIGHT. The swatch is on the bottom of the previous swatch. I initially knew I will get this eyeshadow. It's a pretty wine color, but very blackberry-like. Dark plums are VERY in trend for this Fall. Perfect for an all over lid color and blended out with Quarry, Trax, or Blackberry eyeshadow. Hopefully look out for a tutorial of this next. :)

This is STYLISH MERRY. Doesn't this color remind you of Stars and Rockets?! It is the most beautiful color to wear if you want something sophisticated but colorful. I never expected myself to purchase this until the artist used this on my lids. I do not regret getting any of these eyeshadows at all. I'm glad I waited for better color selections for this collection.

CATCH MY EYE Fluidline. A fluidline is supposedly for a slick cat liner, or a regular eyeliner. However, this product is amazing for a base. The artist demonstrated this before apply eyeshadow. I loved it, because it was not too dark for a color base, it had iridescent gold-like glitter, and it looks amazing by itself. I will also use this to apply to the inner lash line to create a fun sparkly look. Cheerss!

I had a hard time getting one of these Mineralized Skin Finishes from the previous Extra Dimension collection. This is WHISPER OF GILT, the most perfect light golden highlighter. I was very close to purchasing SUPERB, a darker/rose gold shade, however it did not seem so natural on my light skin tone so I decided to purchase this one instead. It is literally botox injected for my cheekbones, just kidding. I am NC20-25 and it looks amazing on me. Stephanie is around an NC30-35 and it looked so great on her too. I feel like this color is very universal for all shades of skin but if you're NC40 and above, try SUPERB for a more bronzed up touch. I cannot stress how amazing this product is. Definitely not everyone can appreciate this but I think it is a must-have if you're a makeup hoarder like I am.

Feminine Edge- the most unique fluidline that I've witnessed MAC produce. The glitter is quite chunky, but also forgiving.

Ready to Party extra dimension eyeshadow is like Beautiful Iris' cousin! It's so similar yet so different. This color is more pink and lighter while Beautiful Iris is a lavender with a blue undertone. I love this color for the inner tearduct if you're doing a purple or burgundy smokey eye.

This blush looks really light on the pan, but it is still able to show on the skin! I love it. It's the perfect pinched cheeks. Pink with an orange undertone. It's so natural and pigmented. I am an NC20 and it shows up pigmented on me, I'm surprised that I have to say I need to be light-handed with this blush!

Here are some extra pictures we took-
